SSF the end (summer so far)

Summer has come to an end but
on this blog it is still alive and happening!
On August 8th we celebrated
Courtney with a
Birthday Surpriseaganza!
We were in St. George.
The Birthday Girl
in Las Vegas.
The fam with our tour guide.
 They had old neon signs
that they display.
This one was for a dry cleaners.
This one was appropriate for the desert.
They had iconic Vegas casino signs that
they restore and put back up in Vegas
to be enjoyed once again
We went in the early morning
but it was still swelteringly hot.
Then 3 of us took pictures with our initials.
 P and C
and A - but the M was too enthralled and busy to be bothered with a silly picture
until the end where we got our reflection in the Frontier sign
The second surprise was shopping for birthday gifts for this girl.

Our last and biggest surprise was
Love which we loved!
 Becky got married
so we got to visit the Provo Utah Temple.
 We celebrated Mark and Courtney.
We went to the Ogden Utah Temple open house.
 It is so beautiful.
 The windows!
And of course - while in Ogden - we ate at
We went to Swiss Days wearing stripes.

And bought this lovely objet d'art
for our yard. As I look at it now I am not certain
it goes with our milk can very well.
But I love them both.

On Labor Day my family participated in a sprint triathlon!
Paige swimming.

Mark biking.

Courtney running.

Courtney's cute friends came to support her!
BTW they all did all three legs but I don't have pictures of
each of them doing each thing.
This is Paige right when she finished!
All the family that participated:
Tony, Courtney, Kenzie, Paige, Mark, Davis, and Madison
My three
Then we spent some time with family.
Courtney and James
Cyndi showing off her very large sunflowers!
We have also spent some wonderful Saturday mornings at
the Salt Lake Farmer's Market.
On one of those Saturdays we discovered
Spitz and these fries.
Also Jenny came from South Africa for a stay.
And she made trifle!
Football season started.
We took some selfies.
And some more.

What a wonderful life!
