Wightman 2012 in Review

January - Mark's mom joined her eternal companion, passing away 1 year (almost to the day) after Jack.
February - Paige got an iPhone, which started a chain reaction we couldn't resist.

  And Mom turned 80
So (almost) the whole clan got together to celebrate!
We also took our yearly trip to Lava Hot Springs!

March - Paige (finally) decided she would go on a mission. Also City Creek opened ... a BIG highlight.

April – Paige got called to serve in the Italy Rome Mission and the great mission shopping began!

 Also we stuccoed our house!

May – We were in the celestial room all together … AND we went to Disneyland.

We also fit in a little trip to our favorite place - St. George!

June – Our sweet Paige left our home but not our hearts (as you can plainly see by her repeated appearance on this list!)
With the help of wonderful neighbors and friends
we cut down our large/old pine tree.

July – We discovered the “glitter pits” outside of St. George.
And took a drive out to the Spiral Jetty.

August – Wicked came to Salt Lake!! And we LOVED it
Plus - Courtney turned 25!

September – For the first time in 11 years no one in the Wightman household started school.

So when Paige's friends came back to school
we had them over!
We also went to the State Fair!

October – Courtney was a Frenchman and Rosemary Woodhouse at various Halloween parties.

November – We spent a lovely Thanksgiving weekend in St. George with Mom

And endured maybe the coldest BYU game in history -
well at least the snowiest!

December – Our spirits were lifted when Mom had a health scare – that turned out fine! And again when BYU won their bowl game after a tough season.
We made Klejner.
Purchased and decorated our tree.
Had a lovely Christmas Eve!
But best of all
we got to Skype with
Sorella Wightman!!!
It has been an excellent year over her at the Wightman home!
I am certain 2013 is going to be a fabulous year!

Thanksgiving 2012

This is a beautiful cornucopia that was the
flower arrangement at work the week of Thanksgiving.
It was full of fresh fruit and vegetables
and it was magnificent!

So . . . we went to St George for Thanksgiving.
On Wednesday, the Portlandian Woods came
for a surprise visit!
It happened to be Cael's 9th birthday
so we celebrated at a lunch at Red Robin.
Then took a few shots of the family - cousins!
The whole group - minus the photographer!
The Scott Wood family.
We were so happy to see them and spend some time
with them!
Then we got to work
making pies.
Don't we have some excellent pie skills?

Second only to the actual pie . . . we love these little treats!

Next morning
it was time to make the feast!
 Mark making stuffing.
 Fixings for the relish tray.
Stuffing celery - a Wightman tradition!
 Mr. and Mrs. Celery (delicious)!

And then it was time to EAT!

So happy that Mom and Priscilla and John were able to join us!

If you are counting . . .
we had a pie for each of us + 1 for good measure!
Then we took some photos for our
Christmas card.
FYI: I can share this one because it didn't make the cut!

The weather was beautiful so we went for a little walk around
the park next to the condo after dinner.
Everything in St. George is still fall-y!
I love these grasses - and Courtney!
Awwww . . .  cute!
The next morning we went to breakfast
and took a short drive through Snow Canyon.
 Always a St. George must.
But mostly
We relaxed - and played games on our iPhones!

It was a good time!
