My Mom the Gardener

My dad used to say that he never planted a garden
bigger than his wife could take care of.
Well look at her little garden now.
Her stake put in some grow boxes and she
shares one with another couple of people.
 Isn't it the greatest?
They have tomatoes, potatoes, squash, radishes, cucumber,
peppermint, and some marigolds, all in one tiny little box!
Some of the grow boxes have cute little decorations in them like this butterfly.
 And this gnome!
Here is Mom with some radishes that she picked
and we took them home and put them in a salad
for lunch!

Yum!!

Crazy June

Here are a few things we did in June!
We had a farewell for this girl!
We went to Bruges and had yummy waffles.
We wished Mark (the BEST Father)
the BEST Father's Day ever!
We watched a freaky snake in a tree on our hot dog roast.
I just love this picture so I had to put it in!
We said goodbye to our baby/
 sister.
Then dropped her off at the MTC!
And tried not to be sad as she walked away!
Then we put Italian flags on Grandpa and Grandma's graves
in honor of Paige & their joint mission!
We drove to Tooele to Sostanza Grill just to have a hamburger.
Gabe showed us his "alien" eyes with Grandpa's cuff links.

And we celebrated with some of our favorite people
for Tiffany's birthday!

It has been a rough but wonderful month!

Now you see it and Now you don't

 On Friday, June 1st
I came home to a big rope tied around our 30 year old pine tree
Which had gotten too big and messy.
Within mere minutes it was down
thanks to the help of many wonderful
friends and family.
One last photo by the tree that had been
the backdrop to many, many photos over the years.
Then everyone went to work with gloves, loppers and chain saws.
Soon - all the branches were off and in the dumpster.
Thanks to Courtney for keeping Jadyn safely out of the way
or was that the other way around?
The neighbors showed up with really big toys
and helped so much!
As an added bonus - Neil is an expert
with the Bobcat and with surgeon like precision
he dug out and picked up

 the huge stump
and tossed it in the dumpster!
 And then it was gone!
Seriously - in the space of about 2 hours there was
hardly a sign that the tree had ever existed.

Thanks so much to:
