The Office

This is what greeted me at work this morning.
A full pitcher of ice water, a slice of cantaloupe bread,
and the most beautiful peach I have seen this summer!

I love my work friends!

Walk and Weekend

Early Saturday morning,
before the sun rose.
I rose along with 6 other leaders
and 10 fabulously dedicated
young women.
 Then we walked
 and took breaks
 and kept walking
for 8 miles until we
arrived at the Jordan River Temple.
And were met by our wonderful families.
It was a spectacular day!

In the afternoon we went to
and attended their art show.
Which, as always, was a fun
family time because 2 of Mark's siblings
have a studio there.
 We got to see Maxx
which is always a highlight!
Then we went to the Relief Society General Meeting
and heard President Dieter F. Uchtdorf

What a wonderful weekend!

Farmers, Football, and Family

This weekend was filled with fun!
 The Murray Farmer's Market
 Yummy peaches and berries!
Then we were off to the first home BYU football game!
With Kenzie, Whitney, Paige, Courtney, Mark, and Maddy -
and some random guy with blue hair
who wanted to be in our picture!
We LOVE BYU football -
even when the outcome is not to our liking!
Then Sunday was Kenzie's homecoming talk
where we got to see lots of family.
Newly engaged Jared and Nicole!
 Emily, Austin, Nate, & Olivia
 Mom, Paula, and me
 Kyle and Tony
 Paige,Courtney, and Kenzie
 The Wood family
And us!

It was so much fun!

Sunflowers and Stairs

I love to walk.
Especially on a wonderful late summer
day on my lunch hour!
Here are some things I saw along my path yesterday.
 There were sunflowers
 and stairs
 everywhere!

Luckily I came down this set!
Lunch hour + walking + downtown + sunshine = LOVE
This is my favorite!
Happy Friday!

9.16.11 Flowers

This week's flowers are very fragrant!
But it is Friday and they are looking a tad wilted!

Sorry, I will take the picture earlier in the week next time!

Squash Anyone?

Each spring I get so excited to plant my squash!
(I stole this picture from here and hope Roxanne doesn't mind ~ isn't it cute!)
I wait breathlessly for our first little summer squash to appear.
We love to eat them steamed when they are young and tender,
but then the plants start looking like this.
By this time the squash goes from young and tender to
huge in about 24 hours!
Until I have more than I ever know what to do with!
Last week I found this post on my very talented niece's blog
and made her Zucchini Bread recipe.
These muffins were a big hit and I made another batch yesterday.
In my search for something to do with
my abundance of zucchini I found this recipe
 and they are yummy!

And I already have more zucchini in the freezer
to make more cookies and muffins!
 So your question may be
What are you making your family for dinner?
Why squash casserole
of course!!!
