Blog

I don't really know why I blog anymore.
I don't very often.
But it is kind of a journal for me.
So here goes.
When Mark was called as the bishop, I had to be released from my
calling as Relief Society president. This was the last little thing
we did as a presidency. Leatherby's! I love these ladies and am
thankful we got to serve together for a brief time!
Mom turned 85.
We celebrated at Mazza and had Mrs. Backer's cupcakes.
We celebrated the end of our mortgage at Valter's Osteria.
Where Paige got to meet and speak Italian with Valter himself!
My nephew Jake got his mission call to Georgia!
We showered Alyssa prior to her marriage to Tanner.
Alyssa with her mom Cindy.
For some reason I could not get any of the wedding pictures I took
to download onto my blog without turning - except this one of Mark and I.
So I stole one of Tanner and Alyssa's photos from Facebook.

Village Baker opened near City Creek
and it might be dangerous to have these Special K Bars so close.
We roasted marshmellows and made s'mores in our back yard.
We celebrated Mother's Day.
Our ice plants are killing it with the beauty this year.
I was lucky enough to spend some time with these two.
 And make cookies.
 Jadyn
 Maya
 Mark got a toothache!
We went to St. George and hung out in Snow Canyon
to watch the sun set.
Courtney took this silly picture and said it should be our Christmas Card.
We visited graves in St. George.
Trader Joe's had this adorable sign out front so I had to get a picture of it,
because peonies are maybe my favorite flowers.
And mine were beautiful this year!
Mark got a Little Giant ladder
 for his birthday this year.
And our pergola was finally built.
We love it.
It adds so much beauty to the back yard.
Not to mention shade. And this couch!!!!
We got to see Uncle Rex and Aunt Collette
at Tanner and Alyssa's reception.

And Aunt Judy and Uncle Delynn and Uncle Greg and Aunt Jean as well.
Then on Father's Day we celebrated Mark
by hanging out on our new couch - which is the best!!!

Where does the time go?

Summer turns into Fall so quickly!

We headed up Millcreek Canyon with some family.
 Linda and Paige
 Mark and Dan and Malia
 Courtney and Tiffany

Mark and Perky (and the girls)
Then this little angel - Colin was born.
And very soon after another little angel came - Payson.
 Tiffany and Payson
Then it was football time again!
I reconnected with my BYU roommate
Romay Fairbanks after 30ish years!
The twins - Mikaela and Mercedes joined us for
the women's session of conference.

We took a nice drive to see the leaves.
We were a little late but it was still
beautiful - and so are my daughters.
Then I was visited by a mission friend
Diana Daniels Larson.
On a quick trip to St. George Mark and Mark went on a
35 mile bike ride - Tour de St. George or something.
And I ate lunch with two of my roommates from Dixie.
Pam Eliason Pickett and Kerrilee Jones Bell.
One of the most fun things all year was connecting with
some old friends and roommates.

The girls took a fun trip to Disneyland
and met up with Ben over Halloween.
Mark honored that with a scary Disney themed pumpkin.
Jadyn and Maya were Rey and Darth for Halloween.
We visited Penn and Lowe after a football game one day.
They are adorable!
Tanner, Alyssa, Mackenzie and Mercedes joined us for
a Sunday meal before Thanksgiving.
We hosted Thanksgiving at our house for 9 people.
We each had a whole pie.
Which did not agree with Courtney.
Who spent a little time in the ER that night.
 Annie and Collin
 He is just so sweet.
 We dipped chocolates.
And pretended to know what we were doing.

Our family picture for Wightmas in our jammies.
