St. George - Glitter Pit - Spiral Jetty

On our recent trip to St. George
we visited our favorite fruit/vegetable
market - Frei's.
We bought tickets for Hairspray @ Tuachan
and took some weird pictures!
 Cute ones though!
 They were having camel rides!
Then that night we went to the play! So good.

We took a lovely drive and saw some new petroglyphs -
hmmm that would be an oxymoron -
we saw some petroglyphs that we had never seen before!
And luckily found the Glitter Pit!
 Which looks like glass.
It also glitters in the sun.
Unfortunately we got there a little too late.
 It was seriously cool.
If you want to visit it when next in St. George
please find directions here! Cause you will not find them
ANYWHERE else!
We took a little trip to Vegas
and ate at Mesa Grill (thank you Bobby Flay)
 Yummy shrimp tacos!

It was so hot while we were there,
Just kidding! Don't you just love Frank Gehry?!
We found a new fav place for breakfast.

And went to our old fav for dinner.
But we didn't have any fun without Paige!
Such sad faces!
The other day we took our 2nd annual
drive to The Spiral Jetty!
And my goodness - it never disappoints!
We went with these guys!
 And the sunset was spectacular!
 I couldn't stop taking pictures!
Someone who had been there recently, but prior to us,
left a tribute to the artist - nice!

 The water was so warm.
The sky and the water - beautiful!
 I, obviously, couldn't get enough!

Can't wait for our 3rd annual trip out
to the ends of the earth,
in the middle of nowhere!
I was going to link it but just go to google.com/maps
and type in The Spiral Jetty and you will see what I mean!

Until next time!

Randomness

Courtney had a little surgery - tres chic n'est pas?
After surgery she felt a little sickly -
so she tried Ginger Beer.
Cute pic of Courtney and her dad.
We got a disc of pictures of our Sister!
Doesn't she look great?!
We hung out at the Downtown Farmer's Market and
 enjoyed some Greek food.
And all the interesting sounds
and sights that make up the Downtown Farmer's Market.

Then we had a July birthday celebration at work.
Which was very festive, with star shaped ice and everything!

This is Mardi - my job share partner for going on 20 years!
Aren't these the cutest little trifles you ever did see!

Today we went to lunch with Julie and Adam, and then out for a little frozen custard!
 Awwww, cute cousins!
Summer is just too good to be true!

June and July

It has been a busy week!
We had our annual Sausage Soiree
in conjunction with Taylorsville Dayzz!
With Greek Dogs,
 Surf Dogs,
 And Nacho Dogs!
 And enjoyed our Wightman family.

Then on July 4th we decided to
head out to breakfast
Then we met at Mom's for
a fun party with our Wood family!
Isn't this the greatest Independence Day Jello
made by these two little angels?
Hand churned +
 Homemade Ice Cream = YUM

It is good to see Grandma's school getting used
by the next generation!

 And then swimming!

What fun and what a great way to kick off July!

Yay for summer!
